Sorano
Who goes into the Sorano's territory, coming from surrounding plains, has the feeling to enter in an other world. The waters erosion , the tufo splitting and the man's work have created a fantastic and unique landscape in the world, something unreal that takes you beyond time and space. Tens of tufo' spurs ,variously and strangely shaped, are scattered along the river Lente valley, Sorano rises exactly on one of these spur, crosswise the valley as the massive wall of a dam.
The houses, built of tufo, as years go by, have taken the same colour of the rocks standing out under them, and look like sculptures carved from a gigantic artist.
The river Lente flows limpid and calm all around , often herons, greedy of fish and prawns, comes there.
