Entering the territory of Sorano from the surrounding plains, the feeling of entering another world, and erosion by water, the crumbling of the tuffs and man have created a fantastic landscape and unique, something unreal that carries beyond time and space: dozens of spurs tuffaceous shapes varied and bizarre, are scattered along the river valley article, and just one of these, stretching across the valley, resembling the wall of a dam, rises Sorano. The tuff in which the houses are built with the passing of the centuries, took the same color as the rock upon which the country so that the houses seem carved from a giant artist. All around clean and quiet, the river flows slowly, often frequented by herons, fond of fish and shrimp.
